Description This is a medium-sized unit with light coloured bone. The surfaces are very clean with very little weathering or damage of any kind. The edges are sharp and unabraded and there are no digested bones in the dry sieve. About 2% of the bone is burnt at low temperature. About 1/3 of the assemblage is 03 long bone fragments, averaging 3cm, with very few small fragments. There are also a fair number of ribs and small skull fragments, but only a few vertebrae. Most of the diagnostic bones are sheep/goat foot bones, but there are a few lower limb bones, one complete adult scapula and two almost complete juvenile scapula. There is a horn core, which was probably complete, or almost complete in the ground. There is one long bone shaft fragment that appears to have some use wear on the end. It has been sent to Rebecca, but may in the end not be a tool. Flot sample 2 (# 5655), >4mm, 100%. Fully recorded The flot sample matchs the dry sieve. It is light brown bone, with about 5% low temperature burning. Most of the bone is 1 cm long bone frags, but there are a significant number of sheep foot bones as well. The material is not rolled or trampled and appears to be fragments broken from the larger pieces. The deposit does seem to have been covered rapidly, but it is not dense and the concnetration of sheep feet is even stronger than normal. The absence of digestion and the low amount of gnawing as well as the complete scapula suggest that this is not a carnivore ravaged assemblage. One human vertebra was pulled from the flot and sent to human bone. Last Number = F100
