Description	Locus 9 was the soil deposit in the second 1m x 2m extension of the trench north from the first extension. It had medium brown compact clay soil with rare inclusions of pottery, tile, plaster, and bone. It covered the northern part of a linear stone feature which was recorded as an extension of Locus 8.
