|Title||Ivory Rectangular Inset|
|Photo Type||Cataloged Artifact|
|Description||Ivory rectangular inset preserves a crudely draw design sketched over light rasp marks. The design consists of a square box with a cross incised corner to corner. The lines, however, do not run parallel to the edges nor do the cross lines meet the corners exactly. The design appears to be incised twice, but it is impossible to discern more than parts of the second one a the surface is so badly damaged, whether by human hand or by nature is difficult to ascertain.|

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
