A pick pass was done in the eastern meter of the trench. Soil was sorted into buckets. Terracotta and small stones were found. While cleaning a possible statue fragment was found (special find #1).

A pick pass was done between 36W and 37W. While picking a corner of a worn frieze plaque was found (SF #2). Soil was sorted into buckets and dumped. Terracotta and some pottery was found. Roots were clipped.

A 3 rd pick pass was done between 37W and 38W. The soil was sorted into buckets and dumped. Terracotta and worn pottery was found. A worked piece of chert was found. (special find #3).

A 4 th pick pass was done between 38W and 39W. Soil was sorted into buckets and dumped. Terracotta and pottery was found. A possible fenestrated fragment was found and made a special find (S.F. #4). The eastern baulk was trimmed with the remaining time before lunch.

A fifth pick pass was done in the western most meter of the trench (39-40W). Prior to sorting, trimming the eastern baulk wall was continued. Sorting in the western meter then tool place; soil was sorted into buckets and taken to the dump. Terracotta and pottery were found and placed in either the bowl or the latte box. A light pick pass was then completed over the previous pass (39W- 40W) to level the surface with the rest of the trench. Locus 2 soil was present throughout. Picking then commenced in the eastern meter of the trench, careful attention was paid to the rock feature along the wall @88.5S. Soil remains olive/dark brown in color and clay-like in texture, with small rocks and roots confirming that the soil is still locus 2 . The soil was sorted into buckets, and the terracotta and pottery found were placed into the bowl/latte box.

While sorting continued along the eastern wall. A stump in the western wall (SW corner) was defined

with a trowel. In this soil a piece of worked chert was found (special find #5).
