A.M./P.M.          4 July 2012

Excavation continued in locus 1.  A pick-pass was carried out over the entire trench.  A fragment that could be part of a Gorgon antefix was found (S.F.# 1).

Approx. 25.79 m. above absolute elevation (66 cm below datum point)

Further excavation was carried out in the SE quadrant to remove dark-brown soil.  The trench was lowered about 5 cm. by these operations.  The walls of the trench were trimmed.  Approximately 2 bowls of well-worn terracotta fragments were recovered.  Nine sherds of pottery were found.
