Pick pass done in the eastern meter strip to level the trench down to the concentration of rock. Simultaneously, the rock concentration (and possible feature) defined. All soil encountered is Locus 2 soil. Soil sorted and cleaned from the trench. In defining the rocks found a coil made pottery sherd slightly under the edge of one of the rocks. Can see a second possibly associated fragment deeper beneath a nearby rock.

Locus 2

Still finding a fair amount of material over the area of the trench as well as in the soil surrounding the rock packing. In the eastern meter coming down on flat sheeting of bedrock over nearly the whole

area. Directly on top of the bedrock recovered associated pieces of coil made pottery.

Locus 2

Began leveling the trench between the rock feature and the south wall. Soil consistent with Locus 2 , sorted and cleaned from trench. In cleaning discovered coil made base fragments (modern breaks).
