Now that the yellowish clay-like soil is consistent throughout the entire trench, Locus 6 will be declared in the second extension. The soil is still filled with roots and organic material. Aerial and opening photos were taken as well as opening elevations.

Work was focused on removing the stump in the northeast corner using handpicks, big picks and an axe.

Work continued around the stump in the northeast corner so the possible line of rocks in CA-79 can be revealed if it does extend into CA-81's second extension. Work was also focused on the baulk walls in the southwest corner.
