June 16, 1988


Topsoil cut started yesterday was finished in A-D/1-2.  The soil was dark brown and very rocks and contained many roots from several stumps; it was removed to a depth of ~10 cm.

1/4 cassetta of worn tile and a few pieces of pottery were found.

A new cut to a depth of ~25 cm was started in C-D/5-6.




2nd cut continued to A-C/5-6.  Concentration of tile found to East in A-C/6.  Some bone also found among tiles as well as small apparently-burned areas; a piece of vitrified tile (very small) found.
