Agger 3

Excavation was continud along the west side of the agger tobring this cut down to the level of the corresponding cut in Agger 4. A a depth of 1 meter, 1.2 meters from the south and 1.5 meters formt the east edges of the cut was found a curious strip of metal with either notches of the remains of holes at the ends. Many of the tiles that come from this cut were blackened as if from a fire. (Blackened on all edges and faces including breaks but not in the centers indicating that the fire took place during or after the time they were broken and deposited here). Seven boces of tiels dumped.

On the east side was found an "oddly shaped fragment" a cutout with a curving cross sectin which thickened toward the finished edge) at a depth of 1.2 m, 2.3 m form the south and 4.40m  form the west edge of the trench. On the west side, two pieces of copper slag were found. Three boxes of tiles were dumped.
