Cleaned and redefined tile spread after last night's rain. Had photos taken of both the north and south baulk walls, focusing on the rectangular area hypothesized to be a footing trench, and photos of the tile spread.
Afterwards, a cut was begun in meters 51S 160E and 52S 160E to level with yesterday's cut and also to see if the tile spread to there. Next, a cut was begun across meters 53S 160E and 53S 161E to begin levelling that area.
Continued morning cut and recut over. The total for the day was approx. 10 cm, though not completely level. The average depth in the north half of the trench is 147 cm b.d. and in the south half, 138 cm b.d.
There was 1/2 a cassetta of terracotta, mostly small fragments. Also, 1/2 a latte box of bulk pottery. All finds today were from locus 13. There were six special finds.
- Find #4
- S53.60 E161.90
- 139.8 cm b.d.
- Locus 13
- Braided-ridge terracotta pole tile

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
