A pick pass of only the northern half of the trench was completed. Soil was sorted into buckets while in the trench. Soil in the middle of the trench continued to be claylike, reddish, and extremely mottled and contained high quantities of tile, plaster, ceramics, and carbon. However, the soil in the eastern and western-most meters of the trench is looser, less mottled, darker brown, and contains noticeably less materials than the center of the trench.
During this pick pass, a large plaster fragment with 2 impressed curves (Find #!), an incised bone fragment (Find #2) and a large bronze fragment (Find #3) were recovered. Additionally, a number of small bronze flakes were found and so bulk bronze was established.
