Began the morning with two one meter pick passes through the entire trench. After the first pass, a sima fragment was recovered.

We continue to remain in Locus 3, as the soil is a light brown, clumpy on the surface and crumbly, fairly easy to gather after a pick pass is made. Roots continue to be removed, especially along the eastern baulk wall.

Today work ended at 11a.m. due to the Palio in Siena. We remained in the soil of Locus 3, after making two complete pick passes over the entirety of the trench. The morning was finished by evening out the bumps of clay-like soil along the western baulk wall.
