Finished leveling the area in Y/13 to about 160 bd. The soil was dark brown with carbon inclusions. 1 latte box or pottery and bone, a small piece of bronze and 1/8 cassetta fo tile and plaster fragments were recovered. Finds from this area include #5 and #10, ridged impasto rims.

Y-Z/15-16 were lowered in two cuts to ca 180-185 cm bd. The soil in this area was mostly dark brown wiht carbon and plaster. How ever in the north-east corner of Y/16 the soil was yellow brown, like that found in Y-Z/17-18. The cuts were rather uneven due to a number of rocks, and they slope up to the south. Two lines of stones were troweld in Y-Z/16, one on each side of meter 16. The stones are small (ca 20x20cm) and loosely set, and un-level. They are parallel to the line in Y-Z/14 but lower, they start at ca 155-160cm bd. Material between the stone lines was consistent with that to the west in Y-Z/15. 9 3/4 latte boxes of pottery and bone fragments and a small piece of bronze were found wiht 3/4 cassetta of tile and plaster fragments. All other finds not noted above were from this area.
