Work was continued on removal of the backfill from the archaic wall working south to north from 25.5 meters S to 24 m. S. Rocks are being defined to be drawn and removed later. The soil being removed is topsoil and backfill, little to no material has been recovered from the area. There is a large amount of grass roots in the soil.

A tarp was unearthed in the baulk wall at 25.5m S. It will be defined and removed. The tarp appears to have a direct relationship to the tarp removed in Locus 2. The soil over the tarp is dark and grayish, claylike, with occasional carbon inclusions. It is assumed to be backfill.

It has been decided to cover locus 6 , in order to prevent drying and bleaching of the soil. A large stone in the north area of the locus was removed in preparation for further excavation. We will also be looking for further evidence of the linear soil feature in the excavation of the archaic wall to the north of 25.5m South.

The tarp which ran down the wall (25.5m S) was uncovered and removed. Work was begun at 25.5m S. to create baulk walls.

A decision was made to cease baulk wall creation upon the discovery a small sherd of obsidian (Find #1) while troweling. Elevations and coordinated were taken. Defining the wall continues.

Continued removing backfill from the top of feature A with trowels. Also removed backfill and erosion from the eastern wall of feature A with trowels. While cleaning backfill from feature A, a bronxe coil of a fibula was found (special Find #2). The soil in which it was found is inbetween backfill soil and soil associated with the Archaic period wall.

After removing the rock from Locus 6 two pieces of pottery were recovered. Loci 11 and 12 were declared in the southern portion of feature A. The soil in Locus 11 is yellow-brown in color. It is crumbly and has small while inclusions. There are no stones from feature A in locus 11 . Locus 11 has the following corrdinates:

The soil in Locus 12 is a light brown color with small white inclusions. It is crumbly. The stone pack feature A is located within Locus 12 . Locus 12 has the following coordinates:
