STRATEGY: 1. 1525: continue excavation. Try and define possible pise wall in the SE quadrant. 2. 1523: continue excavation to determine extent and depth of tholos wall (f607). 3. Complete excavation of 1521 to determine extent of f605.

SUMMARY: 1. Took off 5cm spit of 1525 and began second 5cm spit. Top of possible pise wall (SE quadrant) was not possible to define, although was visible as a colour change. It may become more compact as we go deeper (or we may only be able to detect it by its reddish material). Small, semicircle of stones coming up mid-square. 2. Took off second 3cm spit of 1523. The tholos wall f608 appears to be the lower course only with a loose patch at the northern section and no stones, suggesting a pit into the tholos wall or the stones were robbed away. 3. Took off another 5cm from 1521 (fill of wall f605). This wall extends c. 2cm, although only the larger stones remain at the west end. It stops short of the tholos wall f607.
