Trench photos were taken of CB 30 A&B from the East and West.

A 10cm topsoil cut was started today to bring the trench floor down to 10cm below surface. The soil is dark brown and heavily organic. No materials were recovered from morning work.

Completed the 10cm topsoil cut that we began this morning. The soil continued to be dark brown and heavily organic. There were no traces of pottery but 7 tile pieces were recovered.

Another 10cm cut was initiated this afternoon to bring the trench floor down to 20cm below datum. The soil is medium brown and contains less organic material than the previous cut.
