AM: Worked in magazzino
PM: Began to remove topsoil layer in southeastern extension of the trench. Roots made work with large picks very difficult. A small cut was completed in P/Q 34 and P/Q 40, only to a few (less than 10cm) depth in each location. One pan tile fragment was noted and thrown out.
