As more of this material was removed the contrast between the piece of wall and the corner found surrounding room f231 was very obvious.\r\rOnce the soil was removed, it became very clear that we had a large tholos approximately 6 metres across and it was flattened to the SW where the wall f250 joins the main tholos ring.\r\rIt is also interesting to note that the stones revealed by lot 885 and that make up the section of the tholos are smaller and more numerous than at the western and eastern extremities of the trench. This, along with its straightened appearance may indicate its later addition, possibly blocking an entrance way.\r\rThe NE baulk was also cleaned as it was threateninga collapse. Lot 887 was used for this."
