Weaving Implements

The "feature" in CA42N produced 12 weaving implements while no such objects were found in the other areas of the trench.  4 spindle whorls and 8 rocchetti were found.  Rocchetti were mostly fragmentary coarse and flat-ended (#1 p. 45 , #4 p. 57 , #4 p. 83 , #11 p. 117 , #1 p. 135 , #2 p. 141 , #3 p. 167 ).  One miniature rocchetto was found (#1 p. 113 ).  None had decoration.  Spindle whorls were of truncated conical shape, undecorated (#7 p. 97 , #8 p. 133 , #2 p. 113 ) except for one fragmentary miniature whorl that was flated (#2 p. 113 ).
