The outside strip was cleaned down to an irregular stone layer at 1.8 m and the trench then closed.

The tiles in the western half were lifted. 24 boxes were taken up on the first day. Finds were limited to three small pieces of horse frieze and one piece of cornice. At 2.10 N and 2.90 E a cluster of about 300 small round egg shaped stones all set together was found. The stones were similar to many isolated ones found in previous years.

The wall was cleaned. The strip between the eastern edge of the wall and of the trench edge was taken down to 30 cm. The central section from 5.0m facing S to 11.80 m facing S produced 8 boxes of tiles and 1 box of pottery and 6 rochetti (all broken, 2 with patterns).
