STRATEGY: 1. Continue removing wall f243 under lot 890. 2. Plan and remove the probable blocking wall f242 in the SW corner.

SUMMARY: With Amanda's help I planned f242, using the temporary base line provided by Stuart and Bronwen. I then removed it under lot 892, still hoping to find a face for the superstructure of the tholos. Nothing was found so the whole lot was removed, exposing some more stones and a possible entrance approximately 40cm across. Some stones parallel to f250 seem to disappear into the baulk approximately 2 metres up from the southern baulk. I plan to take the area down further tomorrow. Amanda completely removed f243 under lot 890 and continued to work around the outside of the tholos in the NW corner under lot 886. Feature 250 and the wall abbutting it seems to relate with what is happening in the next trench south. The southern face of the tholos ring at this point is at exact right angles to f250, but the northern face follows the tholos curve, perhaps the wall has been reused to make a rectangular structure or an extension to the tholos.
