We removed some topsoil from meters 6N 33W, (for a diagram of meters, see pg ), 6N 34W, and 6N 35W cutting down about 5cm. We left all topsoil on meters 7N 33W, 7N 34W, and 7N 35W. This was done so that cuts could be made later in the season if needed and to leave the majority of the rocks in the last 3 meters untouched for now. A 10cm cut was made in meter 4N 33W and another 10cm cut in half of meter 4N 34W.

Meters 4N 33W - 4N 34.5W were taken down another 10cm using the pickaxe. Focus has been placed in this corner of the trench in hopes of finding a soil change. The baulk walls of the trench were trimmed and leveled before the end of the day and more depths were taken at the corners of the trench.
About 1/4 latte box of terracotta was found in Locus 1 and about 1/4 latte box of pottery mostly consisting of impasto and possibly pithos fragments.
