It was decided not to excavate any further in I/20-22 so as not to weaken the wall. Instead, excavation continued in H/I 23-24. First a stump was removed in I/24. Very little material was recovered from the roots.
pottery= 1/4 liter box
tile= 1/4 liter box
After the stump was removed work began on removing fill from trench T-6b in H-I/23-24. About 5 cm had been removed when digging ended for the day.
A big rainstorm ended the day.
