The floor of the trench was swept and sprayed. There was a clear delineation between the brown soil in the souther of the southern meter and the flakey white-yellow galestra in the north. We continued to scrape the floor of the trench to remove the remaining patches of locus 6 . A light pick pass was done in the southern half of the southern meter. The soil was scraped and sorted by hand. While cleaning a piece of slag was found (#1). Another pick pass was done. The brown soil still seems to be covering the galestra which is sloping southwards. For the last few days a noticeable increase of snail shells in the soil, however these still will not be counted in bone since they appear to be naturally occurring. The brown soil has many pockets of decayed rocks in it. The pass was cleaned and scraped, pieces of tile and pottery were recovered. The pass was swept and sprayed to find the boarder of the galestra.

It seems that the slope is a gradual slope to the lower part of the hill, and not an intentional cut. The soil appears a lighter brown and therefore locus 6 will be closed and work will

be paused to focus efforts on CB 60. Closing elevations and photos were taken.
