June 9, 1976

Work continued cleaning the humus (dark brown layer) from grids N-P 32-33 and then grids N-P 34-35.

At the same time work began in the yellow soil layer of grids N-P 32-33.

In the yellow soil layer a heavy tile fall was encountered (same tile fall as mentioned by Neils (JN I) .

In grids N-34-35 a top section of pithos, top downwards, was encountered in the yellow soil layer, along with a more numerous amount of pottery.

The pithos was left in situ until the next day.

Two casette of tile were dumped.
