STRATEGY: Continue removing lot 2016 as a general spit across trench 446N, 596E. Remove the stone foundations of f227/f270 and f267 and bring the southern sector of 446N, 596E level within the rest of trench as lot 2017.
SUMMARY: Removal of 2016 led to the discovery of two small stone pestles (see sketch). These were numbered as sf3 and sf4. f227/f270 was partially removed and almost all of 2016 remains to be taken out.
