July 26, 2000

Additional work in locus 7 revealed a concentration of small to medum-sized stones in the meter 171-172E, 34.35S. The stones were defined and cleaned, but as of the AM work session it is still too early to identify a feature. Locus 7 is producting moderate amounts of plaster and carbon, but currently yields few artifacts.

The area inside the circle of stones defined earlier today was found to contain a darker soil, that will be designated Locus 8 and excavated later. (Locus 8 elevation: 1.49 B.D.) the floor of Locus 7 was flattened as much as the stones in it would permit, a pedestalled stone was removed, and the trench was cleaned and swept.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
