Trimmed the balk in Y-Z/17-189. This prosuced 1 samll fragment of tile and two pieves pf pottery. The burn layer which is apparent in the north bulk of Y/18, sloping down to the west, dissappears at about 170cm, 20cm from the western edge of Y/18.
Continued to level the floor in Y/13-14 to roughly 160cm bd. The soil was consistently dark brown - grey with carbon inclusions. Only a portion of Y/13 remains to be leveled. This work produced 12-15 fragments of tile and plaster, and 1 1/2 latte boxes of pottery including a pithos base fragment and bone. Finds included a bronze shaft (#1), and incised possibly painted potttery (#4).
Took a cut in Y-Z/15-16 to a depth of about 170cm bd. The soil was dark brown wiht heayy inclusions of plaster and carbon. This produced 3/4 cassetta of mainly plaster fragments, but also a few medium sized tile fragments (15x15cm), and 4 latte boxes of pottery and bone as well as a few flakes of bronze. All other finds came from this area. Some carbonized material, possibly with seeds (#3), ridged impasto rims (#2,7) and a bronze codder pin (#5) and a bronze spring.
