Continuing work on the S extension of CA 1, we collected 2 boxes fo tiles and several finds:

We also continued test trenching, laying out CA 28, CA 29, and CA 30. CA 28, measuring 1.0 x 3.0 m NS, was situated W of CA 26 and N of CA 14. Here we found 2 boxes fo tiles, a statue fragment (ca 0.50 m deep), a fragment possibly of an eye, and a nearly complete waterpout (ca 0.60m southernmost meter). this trench was expanded to 3.0 x 3.0 by adding a segment 1.0 x 3.0 m NS. We gathered 1/3 box of tiles, then met tetta virgina at 0.40m and stopped work. CA 30, also 1.0 x 3.0 m NS, was laid out NW of CA 28. Nothing was found. After digging to a depth of 0.25 - 0.30m, we discontinued this trench.
