Completed cut between H-I/46 and H-I/47 to a depth of approximately 90 cm.  The soil in the area was medium brown to olive colored.  Very little pottery or bone were removed and no fragments of tile.  In meter I/47 a fragment of a possible statue (find #1) was discovered.

Finished leveling the area between H-I/43 and H-I/44 to a depth of about 90 cm.  The soil in this area is similar to that noted above.  About 20 pieces of pottery, including coarseware, and a comparable number of tile fragments were removed.

After these areas were completed of the stone concentrations were taken and the areas were also drawn.  Due to the irregularity of the formations and the intrusive material among them, it was decided to lift the stones as work on a new cut through H-I/42-48 progresses east.

Baulks in H/44-45 and H-I/42 were straightened and produced, respectively, a few fragments of bone, and in the second area a few fragments of pottery, a few flakes of bronze, and a piece of slag (find #2).

A cut was started in I/42 to a depth of about 100 cm.  The soil in the area continued to be reddish brown with plaster and carbon inclusions.  A few fragments of pottery and bone were removed

as well as a few fragments of tile, one large flake of bronze was discovered as well (find #3).

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
