L-M/82 was brought down another 5-10 cm. The westernmost baulk is approximately 20 cm above the floor level of the S.E. Building. The soil continues to contain large amounts of tile, but less plaster than we encountered previously. Soil color is reddish w/chunks of carbon. Several pieces of bucchero came out of this cut. A large proportion of a fine orangeware bowl, burned black in places, also came out of L/83. Small black fragments, thought to be bucchero, may in actuality belong to this vessel. One cassetta of tile and 1/3 a cassette of plaster were found.

One cassetta of plaster two of tile. Only 1/2 a latte box of pottery, which, is slightly less thant his amount of soil produced at higher levels.
