Introduction

Tesoro Trench 35 (T35) is located on the master grid, approximately 8m south of the archaic building, between 146.50m and 150.50m East and 42.00m and 44.00m South.*  The excavation of T35 was designed to explore the areaa between T21 (see Fred ALBERTSON 1978-79, FA I) and T25 (see Allison Griffith 1994, AG II) to investigate the possibility that further evidence of light-framed architecture survives in this area, similar to that uncovered in T21 and suggested by T25, and to further understand the nature of the buildings nearby through careful analysis of the artifacts recovered during excavation.

The stratigraphy of this trench ought to coincide with that of T25, though some variation is to be expected.  Terracotta finds will be quantified in latte boxes (approx. 1 litre).  Pottery and bone will be quantified by number of sherds/fragments.
