R13 Summary

During the course of the 1997 season, a small amount of work was conducted in R13 in an attempt to further define the north and south walls of the orientalizing structure.  Material recovery was limited and is as follows:

Northwest corner of R13

  • 4 bone fragments
  • 6 coarseware fragments
  • 5 impasto fragments
  • 5 orangeware fragments

Northeast corner of R13

  • 18 bone fragments
  • 6 coarseware fragments
  • 42 impasto fragments
  • 3 orangeware fragments
  • 1 bucchero fragment

Southeast corner of R13

  • 1 bone fragment
  • 3 impasto fragments
