Work supervised by J.M. in the absence of L.R.L.
We work in rect 22 quadrants C-E 2-3 digging toward galestra and begin cut 4 in T25.
In R22 the brown to dark brown soil is flecked with numerous carbonized bits, and we discover carbonizd "bean" fragments as well as 5 cartons of pottery. Pottery includes fragments of coarseware, thin, well-preserved bucchero and an orangish ware preserving traces of red paint. Some bone and a trace of bronze occur as well and some bits of shell. A series of large stones, aligned roughly east-west now bisects R22. They are left in situ for further investigation.
In T25 cut 4 begins at the north end of the trench y-alpha 12-15 moving south. Soil varies from yellow to brown and contains numerous fragments of coarseware, bucchero, and tile. Some bronze slag and bone also occur.

Again J.M. for L.R.L.
We work in R22 C-D 2, the dark brown soil is flecked with carbon and yields two cartons of impasta, some bucchero and occasional pieces of orange fineware with possible traces of paint. A packing of large stones is further exposed in this area, no finds recorded.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
