July 15, 1971

Photographs taken.

  • B 1-4
  • ivory triangles (ca 22)

  • "measuring stick"

Ivory fragments increased in quantities. They are all burnt to a bluish color and are extremely fragile. Only a few of the "triangles" preserve a white on black color and thereby a more solid texture.

In excavating str. D it became apparent that the soil is heavily burnt, especially in the area close to the mud wall. It is bright red and very hard compared to the equivalent layers in R7.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
