A.M.

Work cancelled this morning due to rain.

P.M.

*Photos taken.

Stones removed and more stones lie underneath at roughly 249 cm b.s.

*Photos taken of newly revealed stones.  It appears that stone coursing continues deeper into the earth, and so more excavation is necessary in Locus 3 to determine the extent of the well's depth.

Began excavatign in meters N 3-5/W 14-15 in order to section the well.  Soil remains consistent with that of Locus 3 and no material was recovered from said Locus.

In this afternoon's work, 2 fragments of worn impasto, 1 piece of bucchero, 7 bits of plaster, and 11 pieces of terracotta tile (including 1 flanged pantile and 1 cover tile fragment) were found in Locus 6.
