Section trench running immediately east of T21 west baulk was extended north from locus 14 into meters S 49-50 E 150. Work was carried out using picks cutting back 20cm at a time. The area was designated locus 15. 1m square was excavated to a depth of 100-105cm b surface. Burn layer terminated at approximately 100cm bs. Burn layer extended 60-70cm east of the baulk. It did not extend as deep as in locus 14 and produced less material than locus 14.

1/3 cassetta of tile and 3.5 latte cartons of pottery were recovered from locus 15. Tile was more fragmentary

and in worse state of preservation when compared to locus 14 material. Pottery contained fewer large fragments as well. 56 fragments of bone, 373 impasto, 122 redware, 10 coarseware, 9 grayware, 6 creamware, and 4 bucchero fragments were found. Ceramic frinds included 5 painted pottery fragements, bucchero kanthoros handle, and a fragment of impasto base (or rim) with decoration.

1 cut bone peice and 5 cut antler fragments were found. Other finds included a piece of large bronze and a vitrifired tile flange.
