The grass around the area was cut and the backfill form the floor/floorlevel next to the south balk (R 65-71) was removed down to the plastic/level of plasitc. A few fragments of tile and pottery were found.

Atopsoil cut was begun starting at R and the large stump in R 67-68 was begun to be cut down to the line of the balk. Several fragments of tile (among which 2 fragments of ridgepoletile) were found. 1/2 box of pottery was found. A large fragment of plaster in R 67 was left to dry.
