Daily Log

June 16, 1975

Work continued in T18, N.E., grids L-M/28-30, cleaning the earth down to the rocks.

In grids M/28-29, a layer of plaster and burnt earth was encountered.  Directly above it were pieces of tile (cover tile) and a piece of pottery (rim of a bowl) which may join pottery excavated by JN (red layer in JN I ).  At this point, the area was excavated only down to this plaster/burnt earth stratum.

For the layout of the plaster/burnt earth area, see plan on p. 2 .
