CA33 J/K 14

Continued to level off J K 14 down to 75 cm.  More tile fragments were recovered.  A second cut, from 75-85 cm., was begun upon completion of the initial cut.  Matrix in this cut is considerably darker and filled with a great percentage of artifactual material.  As was expected a large quantity of slag was found througout the matrix.  An entire cassetta full of tile and ceramic was obtained in a 10 cm. by 110 cm. by 60 cm. cut.  A small percentage show signs of burning and 1 thick ceramic had slag on it.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
