A line of stones in the northern edge of the dike extended for 1.40 m E to W in the space between the eastern and western sections of the crosswall & perhaps was part of the EW wall, dividing building B from room C (see Berg I p. 121ff, under possible wall). When the present floor level is taken down to the second & lower pavement, this possibility can be confirmed.
The trench was divided into 3 sections as follows: (see note p 76) A - 3m wide; B - 3m wide; & C - 5m wide
- Find 1
- Iron nail
thereby making a total of 11m wide by 12m long. Fill was removed in 2 one meter wide cuts, 1 in section A & 1 in section C, both flanking section B, in order to find the EW crosswalls first & then to work outward to the two major NS walss.
A very heavy concentration of stones in the fill. Usual pottery & tiles. Sima concise frag.
Less stones & more clay fill. Found: frieze concise & iron nail in addition to a heavy concentration of tiles over the presumed pavement, indicated by the usual tarnish band.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
