Daily Log

Thursday, August 4, 1994

The cut in I  30-31 was widened in to part of J 30-31 in hopes of finding a drip line.  More yellowish clay soil was exposed.  The soil is not entirely sterile.  Recovered were a handful of tile, on long bone fragment, 2 sherds of orangeware, and one sherd of impasto.

As with the first cut, the drip line could not be exposed, almost certainly because it had been excavated.

Work in the area stopped for the year and will continue in 1995.
