In CA42N the work continued in locus 2, N10-11 W11. A 5cm cut was made. The soil became more rocky and heavily concentrated with white calcium inclusions, so it was decided to designate it locus 3. 2 pieces of tile were recovered from it in the morning. Also a decision was made to extend CA42N trench to the east one meter, into N11-14 W10. N10, W10 is almost entirely occupied by a large rock. Approximately 10 cm topsoil cut was made in N14 W10. Tile and pottery count for this area, designated locus 4 will be done in the afternoon.

In CA42 well area the work concentrated in the easternmost 2m squared of the trench, which were taken down approximately 5 cm. The rest of the day was spent defining rocks of the well wall and excavating 70cm wide area (the width of the exposed wall) immediately west of the wall. A piece of carbon was found between the rocks in a small pocket of soil which is still sterile but much softer than in the rest of the trench and seems to be soil used during the construction of the structure to impact between the stones.

Work continued in CA42 well area for the part of the afternoon. Another 5 cm. were excavated in 70cm wide area west of the wall. Several more rocks were defined indicating that the wall still continues depper. Final depth today approximately 200 cm. b.d.

In CA42N approximately 10 cm. were excavated in locus 3. A large rock seeming to be part of the bedrock outcropping in the western part of the trench was defined in N11 W11. Several smaller rocks were defined in N10 W11. Northeast corner of N10 W11 yielded majority of the material recovered from locus 3 today, which included 3 pices of tile, 1 coarseware, and 13 redware and impasto fragments, including several body sherds from a vessel with ridged decoration. The soil in the area where archeological material was concentrated was olive brown (2.5Y 4/3) and included occasional pieces of carbon. Final depth reached in locus 3 today was approximately 100cm b.d.

Locus 4 in CA42N was extended south in meters N12-13 W10 top soil was excavated up to the level of locus 1. Locus 4 produced 52 worn pieces of tile, 3 creamware, 5 coarseware, 4 impasto, and 16 redware fragments.
