June 4, 1983

  • Tile: 6
  • Pottery: 1

Robber damage to the baulks of T26.1982 was inspected and tiles and pottery were collected.  The tile pile this year is being established adjacent to that of 1982.  A pithos fragment pile is also being made next to this year's tile pile.  See map on back cover, MT VIII.  Slag pieces (bubbly and glass-like) were found and tiles with finger marks and possibly a letter.

Also, meters X,Y,Z/62-66 were mapped out and the topsoil begun to be removed (to a depth of ~10-15cm) in meters X-62-64.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
