STRATEGY: Remove the rest of f266 as lot 2006. Remove tauf tumble to south of f266 as lot 2008. Remove wall f270 (f227?) as lot 2009.
SUMMARY: Removal of f266 as lot 2006 completed. Removal of lot 2008 revealed the continuing face of f250. A piece of worked stone was discovered whilst removing 2008. Located at 448.72N, 596.29E, at a height of 94.97m. It was possibly intended to be anthropomorphic because its shape is similar to a head and shoulders. The tauf superstructure of wall f270 was removed to reveal a stone foundation. At the western end the surface of f262 overlay the stone footing of f227/f270 indicating that f262 was later in date than the foundations of f227/f270, even if some of f227/270's tauf superstructure could have been rebuilt and thus post date f262.
