Work began clearing and laying out a 2x3 meter extension directly to the east of the 2012 Ca 73 2x3 meter trench. The surface of the trench contains two significant stumps and a large rock that appears to be resting on the surface. In the northern and southeastern corners there appears to be portions of eposed bedrock. The soil is a dark brown humus rich in organics. This includes leaves, grass, and roots. Opening photos and elevations were taken.

The large loose rock in the center of the trench was found to be resting on the surface and was removied from the trench. A pick pass was done of the eastern meter of the trench. Many rocks (small, 4-6 cm in length) were uncovered. The soil is densely packed with roots and other organizas such as leaves and small sticks. Terracotta was immediately uncovered in the northeast corner. Sma;; fragments of pottery and one fragment of bone was discovered in the southern meter. The large rock in the southeast appears to extend fartherinto the center of the trench. A second paick pass was doen in the same eastern meter Small amounts of terracotta and pottery continue to be found.
