This morning cuts were taken in meters B/5-6 and E-F/6 to a depth of ca. 70cm. The soil in both cuts consisted entirely of galestra. A cut was also made in meter D/1 to a depth of ca. 60cm. At a depth of ca. 40cm, the soil here also turned to galestra. Because of both the consistent appearance of this heavy layer of \'clean\' galestra at depths close to the surface and a lack of finds, it was decided to discontinue excavation of trench CB-20. Final photographs were taken of the trench and a section and plan drawn.
Work continued in trenches CB21 and CB22.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
