Soil: yellow sandy
Passes: pick pass through S 2/3 of trench
Morning spent straigntening baulk walls. Pick pass begun in S moving to N. Stratigraphy in trench very similar to that found in T36 similar soil and amounts of terracotta and pottery. The stratigraphy seems to be unlike the rest of the trenches of T30 in that there is not as much pottery and terracottaand the soil is not as yellow.

Soil: yellow sandy
Passes: 1st pass through N 1/3, 2nd pass through W 1/2
Pick pass finishing mornings pass through trench. Soil yellow and sandy and more pronounced in N 1/2 of trench. Befan pick pass again. Visit from students at Poggio Colla. Pick pass through W 1/2 of trench. Fewer rocks thorugh those found are large.
