Work continued in Agger 10. In the morning three workmen continued clearing off the top of the Agger, excavating the yellowish soil stratum (designated "A") in grids G-J 1-6. This stratum contains a heavy concentration of rocks of various sizes and many tile fragments. Two other workers excavated the topsoil stratum in grids G-H 4-8; here there are many medium-sized rocks and a few scattered, heavily worn tiles.
On the afternoon excavation continued at the top of the Agger, removing the heavy rocks and yellowish soil in grids G-J [blank]-3. This stratum contains tile and pithos fragments and some scattered, mostly coarse, pottery. Here there are conciderably few sima and frieze placque fragments compared to the area excavated previously - but more pithos and cover-tile fragments.
