The cut around the massive boulder in meter A/8 was cntinued. The plan was to remove the rock; however, we discovered that we will hae to take at least one more cut to dislodge it. 1/2 a cassette of tile and a negligable amount of pottery came out of this meter. There was a soil chane near the southern baulk in meter A/8 from loose, brown soil to a clay-like orange soil.
The remainder of the morning was spent with hand-axes and mestes clearing the area in and around the large stump in meter B/6. There were no finds for the morning.
A cut was taken in meter A/5 to bring the area to @70 cm. There were two finds from the meter: a pan tile with two finger marks and a piece fof worked stone. 1/4 a cassette o tile fragments and 3/4 a latte box of pottery were found. There was a large amount of bucchero fragments from this meter.
Work continued around the stump in meter
B/6. Finds from this area (all from the south side of the stump) include: moulded pottery, frieze plaque fragment, feline ear, bronze and incised pottery.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
